But insofar as tanksims go, I actually prefer Steel Armor: Blaze of War to it. If you have a group and are more interested in the tactics and procedures of armored combat, and are willing to learn the mission editor and make your own fun, SBPro is fine. The AI is pretty lacking, relying very heavily on the scripting/waypoint design of the editor for any behavior more advanced than laying the gun and shooting. There's a big focus on multiplayer for casual use, and you're pretty much required to control multiple tanks at a time in most missions available.

Maybe I'll get tired of it but, AW is a fresh take on the MMO tank battle. This article was written before Armored Warfare came out and after playing AW, I have to say WoT is feeling kind of arcade like, although basically they are the same game, same mechanics, neither reach the level of simulation, but the AW tanks (which are modern) feel more real, and handle like I imagine real tanks handle, the terrain feels more polished making WoT look dated in comparison.
